Cultivar Review: Puck Star by Ananda Farms

March 25, 2024 by 420Canna

Between having some personal affection for Sensi Star and hearing @kevinjodrey talk about his work with Puck, you can imagine our excitement when we got this one in for assessment. You might also imagine that two classic, mysterious parents like these could make a very heavy baby. Keep reading…

Puck Star Cannabis Cultivar (Strain) Review

Appearance: This batch features dense, tightly structured buds with very good trichome coverage and even better integrity. The trim is close, but accurate. It’s been cured very well, was harvested at the right time and is really nice to work with as far as rolling.

Aroma: Gassy dough is the first thing we get, followed by lime and pine. Breaking buds down releases another level of intensity, but the greasy dough notes remain dominant. Once ground, it’s more like paint thinner. Fuel/Earth/Fruit

Flavor: A toasted rice cake dry hit leads to 💨 that tastes of piny, mossy forest, arugula and gasoline. Citrus pith, juniper and cedar notes follow. There’s brightness on the palate after exhales and the flavor tends to shift around, which makes the consumption experience very enjoyable.

Experience: The type of experience varies a bit within our “test group.” Some find it very even and relaxing, while others found it to be very strong, especially in body effect. It was universally enjoyed. The ramp up is smooth and efficient. The primary effects tend to last at least an hour before descending to a blissful, balanced secondary state that lasts for hours. Puck Star earned its highest scores for experience.
