Staten Island Chem Cannabis Cultivar (Strain) Review
Rating: 9.4/10
The Staten Island Chem is a mythical strain that is highly regarded by many OGs as the gassiest (loudest, etc) strain of all time. The story on this strain is not fully clear & heavily debated, people in the know say that it is a precursor to chem, & that chemdog came from her, and since it was held very tightly by Stoney as one of his favorite strains, not many know much info on her to this day, & also for that reason, it is one of the rarest strains you can come across these days. Ive seen a few OGs with the Staten Island Diesel but never seen anyone with this Staten Island Chem which I personally enjoyed way better than the diesel. ( RIP Stoney who I did not personally know but have high respect for his contributions to the game). Sherpa did an amazing job with this grow, this particular batch had that heavy deep earthy OG gas, not very piney or pinesoley, more deep earthy gassy. Not green grass type of earthy, more of a hashy smokey earthy with a perfect mixture of old school kush & diesel mixed in. Extremely potent couch lock indica feel ur eyes getting lower with every hit & the need to hold in that cough type of power but very smooth & delicious. What a complex terp, awesome bag appeal too, almost has a gold hue to it & is covered in white trichs. I got it as fresh as u can get it, it was perfectly dried, cured & untrimmed, still on the branch on the first day out of curing, I trimmed it myself. It was amazing, I feel so privileged to be able to smoke this strain, I live for shit like this, thank you Stoney & Sherpa for creating & keeping this legendary cut alive. Is it the gassiest strain I ever smoked? thats saying a lot. But was it fuckin GAS ? Hell yea! Amazing in all aspects. Cant really find any negatives to this one. This would be a 10 for me if I was an indica fan, but Im more of a fan of high energy hybrids & heavy hitting racy landrace type sativas since I mostly smoke in the day time, but I love indicas too tho so it still gets a 9.4, only reason not a 10 is for preference of high. Might be a 10 for you. Highly suggest trying a fresh sticky batch, not an old & dry one.
