California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) directed regulators to adopt emergency rules banning hemp products with any “detectable amount of total THC.”

Ahead of New Hampshire’s primary elections on Tuesday, Democratic gubernatorial candidates are detailing their support for marijuana legalization—including in lengthy interviews with a cannabis advocacy group—while Republicans are opposed.

The Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians launched the first legal recreational marijuana sales to adults over 21 within North Carolina—or any of its surrounding states—on Saturday.

A study found “statistically significant reductions in benzodiazepine dispensing after increases in both medical and recreational cannabis access” but that “evidence suggests increases in other types of psychotropic dispensing.”

A review concluded that “of the available psychedelic treatments for depressive symptoms, patients treated with high dose psilocybin showed better responses than those treated with placebo in the antidepressant trials, but the effect size was small.”
