The Original Yuzu Cannabis Cultivar (Strain) Review
ASH APPEARANCE: 8/10
OVERALL SMOKE: 9.1/10
From hearing great things about Tasty Selections, I was excited to finally get my hands on their flower, especially being one of their most favourited strains; Yuzu. A unique cross consisting of two already great tasting strains (see above). Upon opening I instantly received a rush of refreshing carbonated zesty lemon notes, with hints of spice and pine, smelling reminiscent of Gelonade and the detergent Jiff. This strong Lemon Tree lineage was complemented perfectly by a sweet candy bubblegum medley of strawberries, grapes and cherries, infused with gentle gas undertones. The buds were of a medium to hard density, having a foxtail structure, being a shade of medium green with sporadic pink and purple hues, alongside light rustic hydroponic hairs and home to a universe of trichomes. Upon inhaling, my palate was instantly overcome by notes translating from the smell. Delivering notes of carbonated zesty citrus lemon, with hints of pine, tasting like fresh lemonade. This refreshing taste is complemented perfectly by a candy essence, displaying a deeply centered sweet concoction of cherries and red grapes, alongside a gentle Gelato gas backend. This delicious and unique infusion is retained on my tastebuds upon exhaling, enticing me to relive the taste over again. The joint produced ash being a shade of medium to light silver, alongside an instantaneous oozing resinous oil ring, smoking both smooth and tasting clean. To conclude, despite a suprising shade of medium to light ash being produced, fortunately this does not impair the smoothness and smoke quality, leaving Yuzu a very enjoyable and flavoursome flower. It delivers a perfect infusion of two great strains, Lemon Tree and Runtz, ultimately tasting like Gelonade dipped in sweet candy. With minimal dialling in required, Yuzu can be perfected even more and easily hold a place in one of the top strains on the market, deserving a lot of recognition.
