With the original Connected Gelato 41 from the 2016/17 era being one of my favourite strains, as well as hearing great things about Baydestrians rendition of it, I was very excited to be able to try their Glato. With the branding referencing the infamous Bitcoin. Upon opening I instantly received a rush of a familiar pungent gassy aroma, alongside an inviting subdued sweet creamy backend, amongst light chemical traits. Overall bringing back pleasant memories associated with the 2016-2017 Gelato we all know. The buds were of a medium to hard density, having both a foxtail and boulder structure, being a shade of light green, alongside purple hues and elusive orange hydroponic hairs, then covered in a white layer of trichomes. Upon inhaling, my palate was instantly overcome by a nostalgic rush of a creamy Gelato 41 gas, displaying Cookie infused chemical notes, with sweet hazelnut and light Sherbet and cherry undertones. A resinous gas starts to develop during combustion, dominating the initial sweet chemical gas, leaving all flavours infused on my tastebuds upon exhaling. The joint produced ash being a shade of very light silver, alongside an instantaneous leaking and oozing resinous oil ring, smoking both smooth and clean. To conclude, this is a great rendition of Gelato 41, displaying all the notes expected. I was left feeling ultimately satisifed with this classic, amongst the current trending strains we now encounter. Although a little dialling in is required to achieve maximum perfection, Glato is definitely one for the headstash being a very enjoyable smoke.
