Not having had any flowers from Cali powerhouse; Preferred Gardens before, I was thrilled to be able to get my hands on this rare and exciting sounding drop of Banana Zoap. Upon opening I instantly received a dominant floral Sunset Sherbet and Gelato influenced gas, accompanied by traits of pine and minty cream with trace amounts of banana. This uplifting dominant gas was complemented by very subdued sweet and floral undertones, exhibiting a distant Zoap lineage. The buds were of a medium density, having both a combined foxtail and boulder structure, being a shade of light green with minimal purple hues, alongside light rustic pistils, and covered in trichomes. Upon inhaling, my palate was instantly overcome by notes translating from the smell. Displaying notes of a powerful Gelato 41 and floral Sunset Sherbet resinous gas, complemented by strong minty cream overtones, with a deeply subdued but much present sweet backend. The unique taste described was retained on my tastebuds upon exhaling. The joint produced ash being a shade of medium silver, alongside an oozing resinous oil ring, smoking both partially smooth and tasting clean. To conclude, although Preferred Gardens undeniably have a great reputation for cultivating great flowers, in the case of this particular strain I was left feeling pretty discontented. I unfortunately found Banana Zoap not smoking as smooth as expected and the anticipated notes of Banana and Zoap were highly subdued. As always, this is a personal preference and with some further dialling in required, this strain may still be a great choice for somebody else, especially wanting a strong high.
