Luxembourg’s Chamber of Deputies voted to pass a bill legalizing possession and home cultivation of marijuana.

The Wisconsin Senate defeated a marijuana legalization amendment on a straight party-line vote.

The U.S. Cannabis Council and its member marijuana businesses are launching a new “Legalize America” Super PAC to “raise the profile of cannabis as a national issue in the 2024 election and beyond.”

Bipartisan members of Congress filed a new bill that would force the State Department to explain why it doesn’t consider a Pennsylvania man jailed in Russia for medical marijuana and other American citizens incarcerated abroad to be “wrongfully detained.”

A new poll shows that a higher percentage of California voters support marijuana legalization now than when they approved it on the ballot in 2016—and that three out of five want cannabis stores to be open in their own communities.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is calling on lawmakers to legalize medical cannabis to help people struggling with the “pain, stress and trauma of war” with Russia.

The Arizona Department of Revenue reported that monthly recreational marijuana sales exceeded $100 million for the first time in March.

Delaware lawmakers sent Gov. John Carney (D) budget legislation that includes funding to implement marijuana legalization.

New Jersey lawmakers sent Gov. Phil Murphy (D) a bill to make changes to limitations on marijuana business ownership.

The Pennsylvania Senate Law and Justice Committee approved a bill to remove a restriction preventing doctors from advertising their ability to issue medical cannabis recommendations. Separately, representatives discussed the prospects for broader marijuana legalization.

New Hampshire regulators announced that medical cannabis dispensaries can now serve out-of-state patients.

The California Highway Patrol awarded more than $19 million in marijuana revenue-funded grants to combat impaired driving.

Nevada regulators posted an update about a new law to increase marijuana possession limits.

Alaska’s Advisory Task Force on Recreational Marijuana will meet on Friday.

A study found that “formulations of cannabis significantly improved anxiety, depression, fatigue, and the ability to participate in social activities in participants with anxiety disorders.”

A study of mice found that total phenylpropionamides extract from hemp seed “improved learning memory capacity, increased survival, attenuated neuroinflammation, oxidative stress, microglia activation and hippocampal apoptosis, and could reduce amyloid deposition.”

The Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies is reportedly preparing an $85 million private share sale for its public benefit corporation subsidiary.

People’s Action staged a protest against the war on drugs outside the Drug Enforcement Administration headquarters.
