Banana Cream Sherb Hash Rosin Review
Appearance/Consistency: My first visual impression on this one is that it looks like some greasy badder bordering on more of a saucy consistency. The color is off white. It kind of reminds of a pale custard with just the slightest tinge of yellow. If I look close enough the terpenes almost make like a mosaic pattern through the badder. Out of the fridge it is pretty easy to work with but after sitting out at ambient temp for a little bit it get pretty darn saucy! It would be a pain to tool
Off but I have one of those heating dab tools that makes it really to load even the most pain in the ass rosin’s out there.
Aroma: like its namesake implies you are immediately confronted with some strong banana vibes. I’m interpreting it as a banana cream pie type smell with aspects of vanilla custard. That initial sweetness transitions into more of a complex profile of a meaty cookie dough gas. It has hints of sesame, motor oil, and pine needles. There are so many dimensions to this profile it’s almost hard for me to pick my favorite one. After smelling this jar a long while to study it I almost started to get a little bit of a headache. Not because it smells bad at all but because the sheer terpocity is just too much to handle!
Flavor/Smokeability: The banana comes in really really strong. Not fake banana but one of those big ole juicy organic ones you’d get from a Trader Joe’s. It almost reminds me of Fig Farm’s Holy moly. It departs pretty quickly from banana land to gas town. The fruit sweetness stays on the tip of the tongue but the back is coated with almost a rubbery motor oil type of flavor. I can also pull out some raw cookie dough mixed in there with some pine tar. Even though I’d say most of this cultivar presents as more sweet and fruity it definitely finishes with more of an astringent gassy pine. Super well balanced flavor with a medium vapor density.
Effect: This cultivar leans heavy in my experience. I’ve had the flower before and it’s the same way. It presents as a kind of a warm fuzzy lazy feeling. My legs feel kind of noodly and all I want to do is rest, kick back and put on some awful horror movies to zone out to. Like most cookie hybrids it just doesn’t have that motivating type of aspect. This is perfect for days when you don’t have much to do. Although I would consider it relaxing it doesn’t straight up put me to sleep. Munchies are pretty minimal but there’s still a little appetite stimulation. I feel like this one is good for watching movies or taking the edge off a long day of travel.
Overall: This rosin is so darn tasty I’ve been dipping into in a lot! It’s especially good later in the day when I don’t have many chores left to do. It has a well balanced flavor profile but the effect trends more sleepy. It’s a good SJG cross that was well grown by trinityhealingcrops. If you see it don’t hesitate to pick it up.
